About our Team
Ride Southern Spain was born out of Andy’s passion for all things on 2 wheels. An avid mountain biker from a young age, Andy has competed in road, XC and downhill races for over 20 years, all over the world.
Andy Weames
When Enduro racing smashed onto the world stage in the form of the EWS (Enduro World Series), Andy turned from Downhill mountain biking to Road Cycling to get the fitness he needed for the multi day stage racing. This is when his passion was born. Andy still competes in Enduro, XC and Road, his last being a second place at an EWS qualifier race, and has recently earned a place on the Dr Bike race team in Granada for Road and XC. But equally enjoys a relaxing coffee morning ride, followed by a dip in the pool when home!
Issy
Issy is the resident trail dog! Issy loves to be around people and enjoys lots of attention. But don’t be fooled by her cuddly nature, she is a mean machine when chasing bikes down trails!
The chickens
There’s nothing more lovely than fresh eggs and these are the girls that make it happen! Our mini dinosaurs all have little personalities and are fun to watch.
Juliette Barrett
Jules is the engine that keeps the machine running! She wears many hats, and pours her love of the outdoors and people into everything she does. Whether she’s uplifting riders to the top of the mountain, or preparing home-cooked food for the guests to tuck into, her passion for enjoying life shines through.
Lady
Issy’s best friend is baby of the family, Lady. Not as much of an escape artist as Issy, this beautiful girl will be sure to make you feel welcome.
Cocoa
Cocoa was meant to be travelling to his forever home and just needed somewhere to stay until his transport date. When that placement sadly fell through, we were delighted to be able to keep him!
